| Our Spring 2011 meeting was held
at the Magic Circle, off Euston Road, London, NW1 on Thursday 10th November
2011.
22 delegates registered to attend and of those,
21 actually did.
After the usual welcome and website
update, the plenary
sessions were:
 | Dream 3.4 update (Mike Booty) |
 | Order processing but not in Dream (Mitchell
Hill) |
 | Reporting Services vs Crystal (Mike
Booty) |
 | Automatic Import to Dream (John Walton) |
 | Purchase Ledger Operations (Mike Booty) |
 | Training using the Cloud (Andrew Mead) |
 | Interfacing - an Excel example (Mike
Booty) |
Philip Taylor made a guest appearance and
said a few words or encouragement to the Group.
Nick Hill of Bath Spa won the Top Hat champagne
prize, but he wasn't at the meeting and his colleagues took it for him. This
was for submitting the most Known Problem Reports since the last meeting.
We are very much indebted to Mike Booty for
all the preparatory work he did for the meeting, and for his presentation.
Our thanks to Mitchell Hill of Hexagon and
Andrew Mead of Wharfe Solutions for their contributions.

A big thanks to Bruce Adams of Barton
Willmore for
his presentation, which gota a good score - from Bruce Adams!

Feedback about the meeting itself from
attendees was:
 |
The venue received an average score of 4.3 (out of 5) - down 0.6 |
 |
The catering received an average
score of 3.1 (out of 5) - down 1.0 |
 |
The location received an average
score of 4.3 (out of 5) - up 0.2 |
 |
The organisation received an
average score of 4.6 (out of 5) - up 0.2 |
 |
The event format received an
average score of 4.1 (out of 5) - down 0.2 |
It appears to have been a reasonably popular venue,
but the event was let down by the catering.
The positives were the overall feeling of
having had a good meeting, the internet access, the appearance of Philip
Taylor and the quirkiness of the venue. The negatives were the scores
delegates gave to the sessions and the catering.
