| Our Spring 2008
meeting was held at the Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road, LONDON, SE1
on Thursday 22nd May 2008. CODA were invited to the meeting to comment on the next version of Dream, the
Agresso takeover and our enhancement requests from last year. However,
despite our offering to pay them to attend, neither Mike McGrail nor Dave
Anstey attended. CODA's Steven Dashwood wrote to us on their behalf
declining our invitation.
Only 20 delegates registered to attend and of those,
18 actually attended, a proportion better than previous meetings.
I think we chose the wrong date though, as
we received many apologies.
The main plenary
sessions were:
 | VAT Matters (by Andy Plumbly). |
 | Dream Housekeeping. |
 | Pot Luck (Solution 7). |
 | Electronic Trading update. |
Feedback from delegates (out of 5) was:
 | One session received more than 4.0 |
 | The other three sessions received between 3.0 and
4.0 |
Other sessions included the usual welcome
and a website update. And - Ginny Lewis of Ashridge won our first KPR
submission prize - a bottle of champagne. Oh yes, and a look
round the 'For Your Eyes Only' James Bond exhibition. We are very much indebted to Mike Booty
for all the preparatory work he did for the meeting, and for his
presentation. |
The presentations we have in soft copy are available in the
members' website in the Spring 2008 meeting data folder.
Feedback about
the meeting itself from members was:
 |
The venue received an average score of 3.7 (out of 5) - down 0.4 |
 |
The catering received an average
score of 3.7 (out of 5) - up 0.1 |
 |
The location received an average
score of 3.8 (out of 5) - up 0.1 |
 |
The organisation received an
average score of 4.0 (out of 5) - up 0.1 |
 |
The event format received an
average score of 3.8 (out of 5) - as last meeting |
It appears to have been a popular venue
with most attendees, but not all.
The catering will have pleased junk food fans, more than more discerning
eaters, who would
probably have preferred less stodgy food.
Attendees mentioned the short notice we gave
for the meeting. We are duly chastised.
