To make meetings more convenient for member organisations it was decided to hold 'north' and 'south' meetings each spring and autumn. October saw the first of the regional meetings, with events hosted in Glasgow and Worcester on consecutive days.

Graham Marcus provided an in-depth write-up of the financial reporting methods used at Champneys Group.

Lots of pictures of the DREAM Summer University at Bath appeared on the cover and elsewhere in this issue with reports from Alexandra Cullis, Hazel Haas and Philip Taylor. Most of the ideas suggested from the previous year's event were incorporated and more ideas have been generated for 2001 Summer University which will be at Nottingham in June.

The issue also contained a report on the success of the User Group email list server.
