Issue 10
July 2000
Ian Clegg writes about the new features in 'Dream version 2.9' which
was released in July 2000. More than 20 new features were included in the
release including several enhancements requested by the Users Group.
Tim Cullis contributed two articles on the history of the Internet. 'The
Information Revolution' describes how the Internet evolved from a 1960s'
Civil Defence Command and Control network that was designed to 'operate in
tatters.'
'As We May Think' was the title of a 1945 article by Vannevar Bush
that foresaw the ability to link articles together and follow links on a 'Memex'
machine.
The issue also examines Richer Sounds' use of Get Real's DreamSuite.
